Antonio Passaro, Jr. is a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads, born and raised in Virginia Beach, and a Bayside High School Graduate.
At age 22, Antonio became a Virginia State Trooper and later became a Special Agent, totaling over 15 years of first-hand experience in law enforcement.
He went on to earn his doctorate in higher education leadership with a cognate in Criminology and Criminal Justice, currently serving as a full professor and the department chair of Criminal Justice at Tidewater Community College.
Now he’s running to be the next Virginia Beach Sheriff to reimagine our law enforcement and build community trust. Antonio has the real-world experience that is needed to lead our city into a new era of policing and bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community.
He knows that this is a crucial time for law enforcement and that, now more than ever, our community and public safety personnel need pragmatic, thoughtful leadership that can lead the way forward and deliver results for all stakeholders.
